A (H1N1) Flu pandemic protocol for Derypol
- Crisis Committee:
Members: General manager, Sales manager, Plant manager, Laboratory manager, SHE manager and HHRR manager. This committee will work in done cooperation with labour representatives and with our external health service.
- Information to the workers:
Information will be provided to all the workers of the company about the characteristics of the (H1N1) flu.
This information will include hygienic measures they have to take, how to proceeding cases of being ill or suspecting it. (Information is provided by the Spanish and Catalan administrations).
- Foreign travels:
Any Derypol employee travels abroad the crisis committee will get information about the situation in the destination country. Depending on the situation, the trip will be realized alternative measures will be adopted. For example, teleconferences, or postponing the travel to more convenient dates.
- Safety material:
Safety material will be checked, and new material will be acquired (Hydro alcoholic solutions, special wastebaskets for handkerchiefs, thermometers, moistened sponge).
- Inventory control:
Raw material and resale goods inventory will be increased to cover possible problems with our suppliers.
The stock of finished products will be increased to cover possible problems in manufacturing due to employees' illness.
- Suppliers and contractors:
Our main suppliers and contractors will be contacted to assure that they have implemented contingency plans to face A flu pandemic.
- Janitorial service:
Cleaning program will be checked giving special attention to those points that can be a source of contagion between persons (toilettes, dressing rooms, handles of the doors...).
- Critical products:
In our manufacturing program we will give priority to those orders that are to be used in basic services (i.e. drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment) in front of the orders to be used for industrial purposes.
- Functional mobility:
Our company has a culture that fastens changes. Functional mobility will be applied between persons and departments to cover those services that are more basic to attend to the needs of our customers.
- "Teleworking":
In some areas, especially in the commercial department, we will facilitate that in the most intense periods of the pandemia, sales people do their work from home with remote connection by computer and telephone to minimize the risks of contagion.
- Customers:
Derypol inform through its website and intranet for customers about our A flu pandemic protocol. Our advice for our customers is to have one month inventory of product to avoid any problems related with the supply during the pandemic process
