Derypol integrated Safety into its Sistema Integral de Gestión (SIG) in 2001, with the incorporation of RD 1254/1999 on Serious Accidents.
The decision to integrate Safety arose from RD 1254/1999 itself and the opportunity and advantages represented by the taking advantage of the management structures already in place for those of Quality and the Environment.
During 2006, Derypol obtained a certificate for its Labour Risk Prevention management system, in accordance with the norms OHSAS 18001:1999, and therefore improvements have been introduced both on a procedural as well as on an installation level, brought about by the implementing of said norm.
