CESAM

Derypol is an active part of the CESAM project (Circular Economy and Sustainable solutions for Agrifood in the Mediterranean) which together with other partners from the European Regions of Occitania (FR), Catalonia (ES) and Balearic Islands (ES) propose solutions with a common objective for the agri-food sector: Circular Economy and Sustainability.

The project centers around four strategic themes related to the sustainable and circular agri-food economy:

  • Treatment and recycling of industrial water / Concerted use of water.
  • Packaging: Eco-conception/plastic book, new materials or circular solutions.
  • Optimization of processes and circular processes: waste reduction.
  • Valorization of co-products.

The CESAM project will allow the three regions, through innovative specialization, to make innovation in all its dimensions a priority, and go beyond strict innovation and regional scale with the aim of better positioning the Euroregion at the European level and improving response to global challenges.

The duration and total budget of the project are as follows:

  • Project duration: September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2026
  • Total project budget: €3,022,935.19 (EU co-financing: €2,116,053.07)

Derypol provides innovative solutions for industrial water treatment and recycling, as well as for sludge dewatering in agri-food industries thanks to our HIMOLOC flocculants.

Our exclusive HIMOLOC technology is based on polymers in aqueous dispersion with low residual acrylamide content that allow us to obtain sludge free of solvents, surfactants and mineral oils.

In this way, these sludges can be used in the agricultural field in a safe way, recovering nutrients and contributing to the circular economy.

Packaging Cluster

Derypol has begun to be an active part of the Packaging Cluster, a non-profit organization, founded in 2012 by Catalan companies that today brings together more than 140 active members, including companies, knowledge centers and entities that cover the entire value chain in the packaging sector.

Its main mission is to enhance the competitiveness of affiliated companies, addressing current challenges, promoting innovation and creating new business opportunities.

As the main representative of the packaging sector in Catalonia, the Packaging Cluster focuses on five strategic axes: the generation of innovative projects and new businesses, market strategy and intelligence, the promotion of international connections, the training and attraction of talent , and the facilitation of networking and business collaboration.

Catalan Water Partnership

The Catalan Water Partnership (CWP) is the Catalan cluster specialized in the field of sustainable water use. Since its inception in 2008, it brings together companies and knowledge centers dedicated to this sector, with the fundamental mission of raising the global competitiveness of its members.

Equipment manufacturers, laboratories, consultancies, engineering companies, universities and various entities linked to the water sector and solutions for its sustainable use participate in the CWP. This cluster promotes projects and collaborations at various levels, with the aim of developing innovative solutions for the world’s needs for quality water, applicable in different sectors and locations globally.

At Derypol we trust that this alliance will help us go further with our HIMOLOC products, which have so many benefits for sustainability and the circular economy.

AQUA España

Derypol belongs to AQUA ESPAÑA, a non-profit association whose mission is to represent and defend the interests of its associated companies so that the sector it represents has sustainable technical and economic development, which allows the country to have the best solutions in the sector water offered by Spanish companies.

This means that at Derypol we are committed to the technical and economic progress of the water sector in Spain. This also helps us stay updated and expand our professional networking.
